* Workers in healthcare find the job hunt more stressful
than other professions, with 71 percent reporting high
levels of stress.
* Workers in retail (71 percent) and manufacturing (69
percent) are significantly more likely than workers in
healthcare (43 percent), financial services (47 percent), and
IT (37 percent) to consider their employment a job rather
than a career.
Six Trends Among Top Talent Teams
A new study by Bersin by Deloitte reveals six key talent
acquisition practices that help organizations attract and
retain top talent, align workforce with corporate strategy,
and drive greater revenues.
1. Integrate talent acquisition and broader business
strategies.
2. Make internal mobility a part of the company culture.
3. Evaluate potential candidates for culture fit as well as
skill levels and experience.
4. Construct a personalized candidate journey for each role.
5. Make learning and development a top priority for
existing employees.
6. Utilize AI and data-driven analytics to assess candidates.
Companies that implement these practices reap a number
of rewards in the areas of retention, internal mobility,
candidate experience, and business outcomes. According
to the research, companies with mature talent acquisition
functions exhibit 18 percent higher revenue and 30 percent
greater profitability compared to companies with lower
maturity TA functions.
AI is Reshaping the Role of the Recruiter
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the way recruiting
is done, providing talent acquisition professionals with the
information they need to source and hire higher-quality
candidates.
According to a global survey of 800 talent acquisition
professionals conducted by Korn Ferry, 69 percent of
recruiters believe AI is an effective sourcing tool for highquality
professionals, and 48 percent believe AI is making
their role easier.
Other survey results include:
* 48 percent of respondents believe big data and AI have
made their jobs easier.
* Big data and AI free up TA professionals' time (27
percent) and provide insight to their work (40 percent).
* 41 percent recruiters worry that data/AI takes away the
human element.
* 87 percent of TA professionals are excited to work with AI
in the future.
* Big data and TA has changed the way recruiting is done
in 63 percent of surveyed organizations.
On the Move: Beth Miller joins Alexander Mann Solutions
Beth Miller, former client solutions leader at IBM, has
recently joined Alexander Mann Solutions' Americas team
as a vice president and head of sales. In her new role,
Miller will be responsible for expanding AMS' reach in the
region and ensuring that clients receive the best service to
overcome their recruiting challenges.
iCIMS Acquires Mobile Recruiting Platform TextRecruit
iCIMS Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based talent
acquisition solutions, recently announced its acquisition of
TextRecruit Inc., a platform that leverages text message,
live online chat, and AI to help organizations hire top
talent. TextRecruit will continue to operate as a wholly
owned subsidiary of iCIMS.
With this acquisition, the capabilities of the iCIMS
Talent Acquisition Suite will be expanded to include
communication solutions that simplify the recruitment
process and utilize tools like AI, natural language
processing, and chatbots to automate communication with
candidates.
