Chasing Amey
After a
competitive
process, Hays
Talent Solutions has been awarded a three-year
contract with Amey, a U.K. public service provider. The
managed services program (MSP) contract covers the
U.K. contingent workforce for Amey, which provides
infrastructure support and public services to a range of
clients in the public and regulated sector. The history and
knowledge of Hays' solutions, including the use of the
proprietary vendor management system technology, 3
Story Software, contributed to the win of this contract.
Telecommuting Approved
The numbers are in, and the current workforce is in
favor of telecommuting. The third annual Staples'
telecommuting survey found that 71 percent of
telecommuters say it is an important benefit when
considering a job, and 10 percent would even take a
salary reduction to be able to maintain the benefit.
Telecommuting seems to be beneficial for all parties
involved, as 88 percent believe it is a win-win for both
them and their company. This result deems accurate,
as 65 percent of employers who allow telecommuting
report happier employers and 33 percent report less
absenteeism. Sixty-nine percent of employees say that
telecommuting reduces stress, and 74 percent cite
achieving work/life balance as the number one reason
they like it.
On the Move
Pontoon invests in its EMEA footprint and reach with
several key appointments. The workforce solutions
provider
announced
Tom Mason
as head of sales for EMEA. He will have responsibility
for managed service programs (MSP) and recruitment
process outsourcing (RPO) sales throughout EMEA. In
his role, Mason will direct European business efforts
and administer the business development strategy for
Pontoon. To further fortify its market leadership position,
Adrian Cross will also join Pontoon. Cross will serve as
the senior vice president of EMEA operations and will be
instrumental in leading operational development and
delivery of MSP and RPO programs in EMEA. Finally as
part of Pontoon's EMEA alignment, Global CFO Nicole
Burth will expand her role and she will assume additional
leadership responsibilities, including client delivery and
relationship management.
