overall index: involuntary job loss possibility, likelihood
of promotion, anticipation of a raise of at least
3 percent, and trust in company leadership.
The table below shows that two of the metrics,

increased over 9 percentage points. Both measures
are their highest since the inception of the study.
Confidence in job security fell 5.7 percentage points
from 4Q 2017, and a similar amount from one year
ago. The Job Loss Index was largely stagnant
during 2016.
