younger Millennials say they are committed to their
company's goals, and 72 percent of older Millennials

while 66 percent of older Millennials agree with this
statement.

development is important. The development needs
vary by generation. Employers are looking to assist
their employees in doing their best worwhile moving
forward in their careers.
In response, the survey indicates that retaining
Millennial employees is a priority for employers,
and most report that they believe they have a
responsibility to help employees gain financial security
with the benefits offered. Companies with many
Millennial employees are more likely to increase the
amount of non-medical benefits-50 percent say
they will offer this, compared to only 34 percent of
companies with a low Millennial presence.
Five Generations in the Workforce: Challenges and
Solutions
This is one of the few times in history that five distinct
generations are currently operating in the job market
today. Meeting the Challenges and Opportunities of
Today's New Multi-generational Workforce from HR
software management company Fairsail reveals what
250 global HR professionals think of the challenges of
running a workforce comprised of traditionalists, baby
boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials, and Generation Z.
Fifty-three percent of those surveyed feel they
need greater visibility of their entire workforce.
Respondents said the following were their most
pressing challenges:
* Twenty-nine percent said recruiting the right talent
is challenging. Attracting employees with the right
skill set is important for all generations. Digital
* Fifteen percent said compliant workforce
communications are necessary. According to the
report, each generation speaks its own " language "
and responds differently to tone. The task of getting
the message across to multiple generations requires
a deep understanding of the workforce.
* Nine percent said creating leadership pipelines
is the next step. Respondents are concerned
with identifying and developing the leaders of
tomorrow during a rapidly changing, complex work
environment.
Further, the majority of respondents agreed that
Millennials and baby boomers are the two generations
that are the most complex to manage. These are the
two largest generational groups, and they are at
almost the opposite ends of the age spectrum.
