with that data, we act more as consultants instead
of 'the go-find-and-fill-a-position' RPO vendor, " says
MacDonald.
" A good RPO partner has seen a lot of what works
and what doesn't, and can provide helpful insights to
ensure the partnership outcome is successful, " says
MacDonald. " An intense discussion around KPIs and
success measures in general is vital to the success of
the partnership. These should be KPIS that set up the
partnership for success with improvement trends over
time. "
* Forward thinking. Rather than first-generation
strategies focusing on short-term goals, RPO
programs should be looking toward long-term
success. " Buyers should ensure the model they are
creating with their chosen partner can support not
just where the organization is, but where it wants
to be, " says Marissa Geist, managing director of the
Americas for Cielo.
Organizations need to make sure they are
incorporating long-term business outcomes in their
RPO model, instead of looking for instant outcomes.
" While critical service levels are still a component for
most solutions, the service emphasis should be on
continued improvement against qualitative rather
than quantitative measures, " says WilsonHCG's
Sweeney. " Employment brand penetration, candidate
experience, technology innovation, and supporting
business change in a volatile and unpredictable socioeconomic
landscape are all part of the expectations
buyers should require from their talent solutions
partner. "
