Onboarding: The process of introducing a new hire to
the company and providing them with the tools and
training needed to succeed in the job.
Quality of hire: The current and future effectiveness
of a new hire and the extent to which they meet the
requirements of a vacancy. Quality of hire can be difficult
to measure and involves not only a new employee's
ability to accomplish daily tasks but also what they add to
the company culturally and strategically.
Robotic process automation: A form of clerical
automation that applies technology, such as software
robots, that interpret the actions performed on a user
interface and are configured to execute steps identically
to a human user. Unlike traditional automation, they are
configured using demonstrative steps, rather than being
programmed using code-based instructions.
RPO (recruitment process outsourcing): The use of
an external provider who will perform some or all of
the corporate recruiting and staffing functions on an
outsourced basis.
SaaS (software as a service): A software licensing and
delivery model that requires a subscription in order to
access the software.
SEO (search engine optimization): Positively impacting
the visibility of a website or making it easier to find on
search engines using keywords.
SLA (service level agreement): Contractual clauses
governing specific parameters, deliverables and
measurable goals that the providers and clients will
realize during the term of service.
Sourcing: A talent acquisition function that focuses
on identifying, screening, assessing, and eventually
engaging qualified job candidates via proactive recruiting
tactics.
Time to fill: The amount of time it takes to fill a job
vacancy with a qualified candidate from the time that
the position becomes available.
TWS (total workforce solution): A software solution
that manages all workers types, including full-time and
contingent labor, through one provider and approach.
User experience: The experience of a customer, job
seeker or user of an app, website, or product as defined
by the product's ease of use, practicality and the feelings
it generates about the company that created it.
