(Tokyo, Japan) expands
its Micronas
3D HAL sensor
portfolio with the
Hall-sensor family
HAC 39xy, which
features integrated
capacitors for strayfield
robust position
detection in automotive
and industrial
applications. The TO92UF package was designed explicitly
for PCB-less applications, combining both a chip
from the HAL 39xy family featuring stray-field compensation
capability and up to two capacitors with up to 330 nF.
The new sensors suit a wide range of applications, including
valves and actuators, gear shifters, transmission systems,
or brake stroke position detection. The PSI5 interface
supports the latest requirements of chassis-position detection
sensors. HAC 39xy sensors enable angular measurements
up to 360° with ferrite 2-pole magnets and linear
measurements up to 35 mm by using two-pole bar magnets.
Samples are available now and mass production will
start by the end of 2021, the company reported.

Small open-aperture voice coil linear motor
The 1-inch body diameter openaperture
voice-coil linear motor, the
HVCM-025-038-003-02 introduced
by Moticont (Van Nuys, CA) features
a high force-to-size ratio. The
brushless servo motor is capable of
high acceleration, deceleration, high
speed, zero cogging and zero backlash
when connected directly to a load. All HVCM open-aperture
brushless servo motors are extremely quiet, clean-room
compliant and capable of high precision when used in closedloop
applications. This DC voice coil servo motor has a continuous
force rating of 1.0 lb. (4.6 N) and a peak force of 3.2
lb. (14.4 N) at a 10% duty cycle. The extended length of the
motor is 2.25 in. (57.1 mm) at mid-stroke; it is ideal for applications
such as laser drilling, cutting, welding and machining
and positioning applications.

expands its line of temperature
sensors with the addition of the
CHT-FS series Cylinder Head
Temperature (CHT) Probe. The
probe can be installed under
the spark plug or head bolt to
monitor engine performance and critical over-temperature conditions.
The unique flexible-stem design allows for installation in
high temperature areas with limited clearance. The Cylinder
Head Temperature Sensor is designed for surviving high vibration
and temperatures up to 1832° F (1000° C). The sensors will
fit most 10-mm, 12-mm, 14-mm or 18-mm spark plugs. The sensor
cable is over-braided in stainless steel for heavy-duty abrasion
resistance and the signal wires are FEP-insulated.
