PRODUCT BRIEFS

Touch panel

Cartridge-style hand pump

WAGO (Germantown, Wisc.) has
expanded their line of Touch
Panel 600 industrial operator interface devices with eight new
large-screen options. Both the
standard and advanced lines offer
the choice of a 15.6-in. or 21.5-in.
screen. The standard line has a resistive touch screen for general-purpose applications. WAGO's advanced line of devices
offers multi-touch with gesture-recognition technology, supporting glove operation and glass surfaces for additional
chemical resistance. The Visu Panel provides device-hosted
graphics while the control panel is an all-in-one HMI (humanmachine interface) and PLC (programmable logic controller).
These devices are IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) enabled
with a built-in firewall, VPN and embedded MQTT protocols.

Doering Company's (Clear Lake, Minn.)
DCHP102 screw-in, cartridge-style hand
pump with integrated dual-check valves displaces hydraulic fluids. It is suitable for hydraulic backup, hydrostatic testing, heavyequipment parking brakes and safety applications. The seat is made from hardened
steel for long operating life. The piston is
treated and hardened for improved wear and
corrosion, as well as heat and friction resistance. Doering's DCHP102 hand pumps are
available for operating pressures of 2100 lb-in2 (145 bar) or
3000 lb-in2 (207 bar) and operating temperature ranges are
-40°F to +212°F (-40°C to +100°C). The lever socket rotates
360° and handle lengths are 9-, 16-, 20- and 24-in. (228.6,
406.4, 508 and 609.6 mm).

Functional safety actuator

Modular deceleration sled

Sonceboz (Sonceboz-Sombeva,
Switzerland) provides electromechanical
solutions for valve actuation with the
SAFE42, an actuator that allows a user to
build a safe system according to current
machinery safety standards. Sonceboz
actuators are developed to drive the
spool of hydraulic valves in different sizes
and with various flow rates. Because
more and more applications need to fulfill a performance level
(PL) up to C/D, Sonceboz has developed its SAFE42 actuator to
certify that an application is in accordance with ISO 25119 and
ISO 13849 norms. Using the safety communication protocol CAN
J1939-76, the actuator can provide safe reactions, such as actively moving the valve spool into neutral position.

The M=SLED Modular lightweight
sled from MESSRING (Munich,
Germany) enables safe testing of
heavy traction batteries. As the
name suggests, the solution to
the challenge of battery tests on
deceleration sled systems is a modular concept. Its carriage
consists of two parts and can carry various modules in its
center, each compatible with the chassis in both longitudinal
and transverse direction. A container module is provided for
battery tests to determine whether batteries suffer critical
internal damage, even at high acceleration. The entire sled -
including the stainless steel container integrated in the module - has been trimmed for lightweight construction to
acommodate the high payload of the battery packs.

Solid-state relay

Genset power units

The new 13A Solid State Relay from
Trombetta (Milwaukee, Wisc.) is designed
to meet the extreme conditions of heavy
equipment. This RoHS-compliant relay
was designed to work in 12-V or 24-V DC
applications, in temperatures up to 125°C (257°F) and is rated
for 2.5 million cycles. With no moving parts, there is nothing to
wear out. This relay has built-in short circuit protection but
should be externally fused with 15A ATM/ATO/ATC fuse to protect against over-current. It also offers reverse battery protection, which means the load remains off when the battery is reversed. In addition, the unit has loss of ground protection,
whereas the load remains or shuts off with a loss of ground.

The new generator-set power units
from Isuzu (Plymouth, Mich.) are
ready to bolt onto generator applications. The 4-J Series are 1800-rpm
U.S. EPA Tier-4 certified power units
that can be standard or custom to
meet OEM requirements. According
to the company, the compact design
with selective catalytic reduction
(SCR) over the flywheel offers quiet, eco-friendly and fuelefficient dependability, while reducing design engineering
development time for faster project turnaround to save engineering resource costs.
