ARE EVS READY FOR THE MAINSTREAM MARKET?

STICKING HVAC DAMPERS ON SILVERADO
My 2015 Silverado had 170 K miles on it and the HVAC dampers on the
driver's side are sticking. Temps in the '80s. Warm air in the face and
foot well. Passenger side works with cold air. This isn't the first pickup I
owned that the dampers have failed, the other was a Ram with similar
mileage. The LED temp settings are sexy when new, but at this point, I
would take wing windows, a foot vent and sliding crude looking levers
which pushed pulled dampers with red on one end and blue on the
other end of the slot. I think that with Catalytic converters being tucked
nearer the foot wells has caused my hot feet. A foot vent would really

dynamics. The subject matter experts for this Chat roughly coincided with release of a new
SAE book, Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics, Revised Edition, by Thomas Gillespie.
