WHAT HAPPENED TO E85?
RobertCencer has thoughts about E85. " It beats out electric vehicles by
lowering CO2 dramatically, use existing infrastructure to pump it into
vehicles tanks and many cars were equipped with E85 capability.
Doesn't require lithium batteries with all of those issues. Seems to be
outmarketed by flashy EVs, and the fact that Large Oil had priced it at
less then 10% of unleaded E10 when it only has 80% of the energy. Is it
too late to come to our senses? - Add your voice here.
CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS--IGNORED?
Writes Eliyahu Ahilea: " One subject in all the discussions about the
emissions from battery electric vehicles and ICE vehicles is: Fuels that
contain carbon in their molecules, even ethanol and bio-diesels, burn to
create carbon dioxide, the major greenhouse gas of our concern. It is
not a " pollutant " in the usual sense (like CO, HC, NOx, and particulate
matter), but is very much a factor in the worsening of our climate,
according to most scientists concerned. What other fuels can we burn?
Foremost is hydrogen - but it has to be manufactured at cost. - Add
