SAE is absolutely critical to the automotive industry and central to the future of mobility. It is also very important for GM to continue to leverage the relationship with SAE and jointly create value for our customers. I joined SAE as a freshman in college and was involved in the Collegiate UPDATE Design Series (specifically SAE Mini Baja) and have been an active member ever since. Through the years, I have been involved several SAE sections (midMichigan, Texas, California and Detroit). I have also chaired a technical committee along with the SAE foundation.
