Clara, California) introduced
the, an ultra-low-power 32
kHz oscillator family that
provides accurate time
keeping for advanced driver
assistance systems (ADAS),
infotainment, instrument
clusters and electronic control
units (ECUs). The company
states that its product offers four times better stability
and up to 20% lower power, which extends system battery
life. SiTime claims that this is the industry's smallest
XO, delivering ±50 ppm of stability, the most accurate
amongst all 32 kHz XOs, with up to 20% lower power. The
SiT1881 utilizes MEMS technology, which enables it to fit in
a QFN package that is 30% smaller than comparable units.

Battery leak testing
Marposs (Auburn Hills, Michigan) announced
its new automatic machine for
leak testing of sealed batteries in highproduction
environments. This system is
based on electrolyte tracing, which
makes it possible to perform the leak
test after a battery has been filled and completely sealed.
Marposs states that the system's ability to test after filling and
sealing provides higher-quality verification of batteries being
used in electric vehicle (EV) production. The system is available
in three versions: cylindrical and button cells, prismatic cells
and pouch cells. The pouch cell version requires tooling to constrain
the surface of the cell to avoid swelling when the vacuum
is performed. The systems can trace different types of solvents
typically used in the production of lithium-ion cells.

Add-on click board
MikroElektronika (Belgrade, Serbia)
launched DAQ Click, a compact add-on click
board that allows designers to implement a
cost-effective precision data-acquisition solution
within their system. The company
states that it's suitable as a universal input
measurement platform for electrical tests
and measurements, condition-monitoring for predictive maintenance
and numerous other applications. DAQ Click features the
ADAQ7768-1, a 24-bit data-acquisition μModule system that encapsulates
signal conditioning, conversion and processing blocks
into one SiP. It supports a fully differential input signal with a
maximum voltage range of ±12V with an excellent commonmode
rejection ratio, the company claims. The input signal is fully
buffered with a low input bias current, enabling the ADAQ7768-1
to interface directly with sensors with a high output impedance.

Linear position sensors
Harold G. Schaevitz Industries (Bloomfield
Hills, Michigan) offers a line of ILPS-19S Series
Ruggedized spring-loaded inductive linear
position sensors using LVIT Technology. The
ILPS-19S was reportedly designed for dimensional
gauging and position measurements in
commercial, industrial and military applications.
The company states that these sensors feature their rugged
design for long service life (rated to over 110 million cycles)
and an impressive stroke-to-length ratio. The ILPS-19S Series
offers a choice of four analog outputs and all include HGSI's proprietary
SenSet field recalibration feature, which offers quick and
easy recalibration of the units' zero and full-scale electrical output.
Measuring ranges from 0.25 to 4 inches (6.5 to 100 mm).
