PreAct Technologies
(Portland, Oregon) has announced
its T30P flash lidar.
The company states that
the T30P is designed to be
software-definable and integrate
easily into a complete
autonomous driving
system stack for automakers,
as well as trucking and
robotics applications. The company claims that the T30P
has a frame rate of 200 fps and can support over-the-air
updates throughout the life of its installation vehicle. PreAct
also states this system allows OEMs to package just one
sensor for multiple use cases including curb detection, gesture
recognition, self-parking and automatic door actuation.
The system can also be updated to support other systems
as more user and sensor data become available.

Diodes Incorporated
(Plano, Texas) has
launched a series of
automotive-compliant
synchronous buck
converters, the
AP6320xQ and
AP6330xQ. These
converters have a 2A
and 3A current rating
respectively, and support a wide input voltage range,
going from 3.8V to 32V. The AP6320xQ integrates
125/68mΩ high/low-side power MOSFETs and the
AP6330xQ devices integrate 70/40mΩ high/low-side
power MOSFETs, enabling both to deliver high-efficiency
step-down DC-DC conversion, while keeping the external
component count to a minimum. Adoption of peak current
mode control and use of integrated loop compensation
networks help streamline deployment. The proprietary
gate driver arrangement in these buck converters
mitigates switching node ringing effects, without lengthening
MOSFET turn-on and turn-off times.
