Automotive-grade MOSFET
Littelfuse (Chicago, Illinois) announced the
IXTY2P50PA, an automotive-grade MOSFET. The
IXTY2P50PA features low conduction loss with a
maximum on-state resistance of 4.2 OHMs as well
as reduced power dissipation, which decreases heat
generation and improves overall efficiency. The
IXTY2P50PA MOSFET reportedly provides excellent
switching performance, with a low gate charge of
11.9 nC, allowing for fast and efficient operation. Littelfuse also states that this
MOSFET is well-suited for demanding operating environments and enables a power-dense
PCB design thanks to its miniature TO-252 (DPAK) footprint.

Image sensors
Onsemi (Scottsdale, Arizona) announced that its
Hyperlux image-sensor family now is available on
the NVIDIA DRIVE platform. Onsemi states that
these sensors enhance the vision of autonomous
vehicles and that they improve the performance
of automated driving systems thanks to the sensor's
ability to capture greater detail across any
lighting condition. Onsemi also states that the
Hyperlux image sensors eliminate blindspots without the need to change exposure
settings, which provides higher-quality data for the NVIDIA DRIVE platform to process
and make better decisions. Additionally, the sensors offer low power consumption
when combined with the efficient architecture of the NVIDIA platform.

Solenoids
Magnetic Sensor Systems (Van Nuys,
California) released the S-20-125 series of
pull-type tubular solenoids. This new high
force-to-size solenoid series features 18
different AWG windings to meet force,
stroke length, voltage and duty-cycle requirements
for autonomous vehicle applications.
The series of 1.25-inch (31.75 mm) diameter tubular solenoids reportedly
are ideal for strokes of up to one inch (25.4 mm). This range allows the user to select
the best solenoid for an application based on the force, stroke length, voltage
and duty cycle requirements. If needed, MSS solenoids with higher-temperature coil
and lead wire insulation can be specified.

Phillips Industries (Irvine, California)
announced the EC47 network connector
for tractor-trailers. The EC47 features
two ethernet connectors, two
CAN networks, 4-AUX connections and
7-way J560 power connection. It is
cross-compatible and significantly expands
tractor-trailer communication
and allows fleets to upgrade their systems
when they are ready. Phillips
states that this product aligns with the
recommendations of the Technology &
Maintenance Council (TMC) Future
Truck and Trailer Interface Task Force,
addressing requirements anticipated to
be essential as the transportation industry
continues to evolve. No adapters
are required, as the EC47 interfaces
with existing J560 components.
