Test automation controller

Michigan) released the DynoLAB GenV
test automation controller. SAKOR
states that this system allows users to
implement complex test systems and
testing standards. DynoLAB GenV reportedly
can be used with a wide array
of hardware, including power analyzers,
resistance meters, high potential (hiPOT)
testers, ECUs, video control units
and emissions analyzers. The fully networked
test automation controller can
operate several different devices independently,
so users can perform multiple
tests simultaneously, often with a
single DynoLAB GenV controller. The
system also is scalable, so performance
takes advantage of faster processors,
larger memory and more processor
cores as they become available.

Development environment
MikroElektronika (Belgrade, Serbia)
announced full support for Red Pitaya
within version 2.3.0 of NECTO Studio
IDE, MIKROE's cross-platform software
development environment. Red Pitaya
enables design engineers to replace
large and expensive lab instruments
with a single compact, open-source
platform. Red Pitaya also enables engineers
to view and analyze real-time
signals on remote boards. Red Pitaya is
comprised of high-precision measurement
tools such as oscilloscopes, signal
generators, spectrum analyzers, logic
analyzers and Bode analyzers. Users
also can use NECTO Studio 2.0 to run
Planet Debug, a hardware-as-a-service
platform that enables designers to develop
and debug embedded systems
remotely without investing in hardware.

Renesas Electronics Corp. (Tokyo, Japan)
and Fixstars Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) announced
the joint development of a suite
of tools for optimization and fast simulation
of software for autonomous driving
(AD) systems and advanced driver-assistance
systems
(ADAS) specifically
designed for
the R-Car systemon-chip
(SoC)
devices from
Renesas. The
companies state
that these tools make it possible to rapidly
develop network models with highly
accurate object recognition from the initial
stage of software development that
take advantage of the performance of the
R-Car. This reduces post-development
rework and thereby helps shorten development
cycles.

Verification software
Siemens (Munich, Germany) introduced
the Questa Verification IQ software solution
intended for logic verification
teams in verifying the operation of
next-generation integrated circuits
(ICs). The software reportedly accelerates
verification closure, streamlines
traceability, optimizes resources and
speeds time-to-market. Questa
Verification IQ reportedly is integrated

Siemens claims that this combination
provides a tight digital thread optimized
for functional-safety compliance

Leak tester
Marposs (Auburn Hills, Michigan) introduced
a universal device that reportedly
simplifies and boosts the accuracy
of calibration and validation of leak
testing equipment. The Tecna leak tester
control is an inline instrument that
sits between any brand of leak tester
and the component being tested. It
connects to each using a Staubli brand
RBE03 quick-connect T-fitting (provided)
for ease of installation. Once
installed, the tester enables the operator
to quickly verify that the leak tester
is functioning as designed. The unit is
equipped with an adjustable needle
valve that lets technicians simulate a
leak, then verify that the connected test
equipment will identify the failure and
reject components accordingly.
