SAE journal special issue focuses
on controlling vehicle motion
The new generations of the VMC
systems will provide significant
support for the AVC to bring
Autonomous Vehicles to the mass
production market. Hence, many
challenges in VMC remain since the
mechanism of controlling the vehicle
motion safely and comfortably over a
wide range of operating and driving
conditions is complex. Therefore, the
focus of this special issue is on the
challenges in VMC to advance the AVC
and the Autonomous Vehicles industry
as well. The articles published in the
special issue provide the readers with
an overview of current developments
in the VMC and give insights into
future research topics. "
