different book awards this
spring.

Moves, and Manufacturing versus
Corruption: Who Wins? were
recognized for outstanding
publishing by The Independent
Press Awards.
Each year independent
publishers worldwide submit
their books for consideration for
this award program. The
competition is judged by experts
from different aspects of the
book industry, including
publishers, writers, editors, book
cover designers and professional
copywriters. Selected The
Independent Press Awards
Winners and Distinguished
Favorites are based on overall
excellence.

Doing the Hard Work by Joan Wills and Karen
Ramsey won the IPA award for career books. In this
book, diverse, talented women across the commercial
vehicle industry share their unique experiences
including the habits, motivations, triumphs, defeats,
and lessons learned that helped each thrive in her
leadership roles. Last year, Rhonda Mitchell and
Brenda Mitchell won distinguished favorite in this
category for their book, Flight Paths to Success,
featuring women leaders from the aerospace industry.
Authors Katelyn Davis and Kristin Shaw earned the
Distinguished Favorite IPA award in the leadership
