NEW AWARD FOR WOMEN IN
ENGINEERING LAUNCHES MAY 1
IN A FIELD WHERE WOMEN COMPRISE ONLY 16.7% OF THE
WORKFORCE, to be a successful woman in engineering is both
a challenge and an achievement. To honor the dedicated and
brilliant women who aren't afraid to step over the threshold of
innovation, SAE Media Group is launching the Women in
Engineering: Rising Star Awards program this year.
The Women in Engineering: Rising Star Awards program
celebrates the trailblazers who not only excel in their respective
domains, but also stoke the flames of inspiration in others. This
program aims to recognize women engineers who enhance the
engineering profession through contributions to both industry
and society in six categories:
* Aerospace/Defense
* Automotive/Transportation
* Electronics
* Manufacturing
* Medical
* Sustainability
To be eligible, the nominee should be 45 years of age or
younger as of May 1, 2024. She should be a women whose
exemplary work has had a positive impact on her profession-
but more than that, she should also be someone who
MOMENTUM
empowers, uplifts, and inspires other women to fearlessly
pursue their engineering dreams.
Does someone come to mind? Nominations for this new
award open on May 1, 2024, and winners will be announced in
