SAE'S BIANNUAL NOISE AND VIBRATION CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION
will be hosting a student paper competition during its 2025 event. This
competition is open to all currently enrolled, full-time graduate and
undergraduate university students, as well as those who have graduated from
a university within six months of May 2024.
The Noise and Vibration Conference and Exhibition is the largest noise,
vibration, and harshness (NVH) event in North America, uniting over a
thousand forward-thinking engineers, executives, researchers, designers, and
members of academia every two years. NVH and sound quality is the name of
the game, and the players represent the biggest and brightest names in the
field. Connect with leaders and top researchers to collaborate on some of
industry's biggest challenges today, from noise source identification to
vibration prevention, harshness reduction, and so much more.
To compete, the student (or recent graduate) must be the main author and
Pranev Sriganesh, Ph.D., won first place at the last two
student paper competitions. Today, he serves as a postdoctoral
scholar at The Ohio State University, where his
research focuses on improving the performance and
acoustics of turbocharged internal combustion (IC) engines.

collaborators are welcome to help-but only as co-authors and contributors,
not as the lead author or presenter. Any topic related to vehicle NVH is
permitted, as long as the paper is approved by one of the conference's
relevant technical sessions and the scope of work is related to the primary
author's field of study. The paper will be presented during the 2025 Noise and
Vibration Conference, which will be held May 12-15 in Grand Rapids, MI.
