Virtual Reality and Innovative Training
MicroPort Orthopedics has reimagined
its approach to medical education
through new technologies, strategic
partnerships, and regionally based education
centers of excellence. The company is
partnering with companies such as Osso
VR to increase digital training, working
with surgeons in key markets globally to
supply educational content.

With the VR curriculum, surgeons can

pace. This partnership with MicroPort

In addition to enhanced VR training,
MicroPort's regional centers of excellence
are designed to deliver a holistic approach
to education and training. These key locations,
hosted by a local surgeon expert,
provide an extensive learning pathway for
surgeons to be educated on key MicroPort
products, programs, and technologies.
This pathway includes educational presentations,
online learning, VR training, inperson
cadaveric labs, and mentor opportunities
with the global surgeon faculty.
The program launched in late February
2021, when Dr. Andrew Ajluni hosted the
first event, leading a successful educational
lab about MicroPort's latest tissue sparing
portal-assisted hip approach.
