Pastel de Quinceañera
La población hispana en los
Estados Unidos está gravitando
hacia el inter-culturismo en lugar
de sumergirse por completo en la
cultura estadounidense, según un
nuevo informe de América Geoscape
MarketScape DataStream: 2012. El
setenta por ciento de los encuestados
reportaron que están adoptando el
inter-culturismo.
Esta tendencia es signifi cativa
al negocio del repostero, porque
significa que los hogares hispanos
tienen más probabilidad de seguir
cumpliendo con las celebraciones
tradicionales hispanas como la
quinceañera, la cual signifi ca el 15
año cumplido de una joven hispana.
La transición de niña a mujer es
un capitulo importante para las niñas
adolescentes en casi todas las culturas.
En México, se marca con la celebración
de la quinceañera. Este gran evento es
un cruce entre una “Sweet Sixteen”,
y la fiesta de un debutante - una
manera de reconocer que una joven
ha alcanzado la madurez. El evento
cuenta con un pastel de quinceañera
y su respecto detalle, tradicionalmente
cubierto de merengue y decorado con
flores de colores y tonos brillantes
para que coincida con el vestido de
la quinceañera.
TENDENCIAS EN GASTOS
Los hogares hispanos siguen
mostrando fuerza en signos de gasto
para el futuro, la cual es noticia
positiva para el mercado panadero.
Los hispanos en los Estados Unidos
representan cerca de 58 millones de
personas en el año 2012 y constara
con la mayor parte del crecimiento
en el futuro. A promedio, los hogares
hispanos en 2012 gastarán más de
$ 400,000 más que hogares norteamericanos
para el resto de sus vidas,
en parte debido a edad y mayor
expectativa de vida, de acuerdo
con Geoscape.
Los hispanos en los Estados
Unidos gastan más de $ 80 billones
anuales en compras de alimentos,
lo que representa la categoría más
grande de la tercera parte de los
gastos domésticos (seguido por
hospeda, seguro, y transporte), de
acuerdo con estudios de Geoscape.
Entre otras, el consumidor hispano
consume un 45% más de harina que
el hogar estadounidense.
Más del 41% de los hogares
hispanos ahora ganan más de $50,000
al año, y el 71% gana más de $25,000
por año.
