advantage of this waste than with cake pops?
Callahan says preparation of the pops can
be a bit time-consuming, but insists they are
worth it for the fast turnover and popularity with customers. They discovered how
hot cake pops were with the very first batch.
“Stephanie, our ‘cake mademoiselle’ — she
put out 12 cake pops and they were gone
within the hour,” Callahan says. “She said
adamantly, ‘I’m not making cake pops, they’re
too laborious.’ But now they’re a mainstay.”
And in the short time that Cookie Cards has
offered them, cake pops have already become a favorite. “The number one re-pinned
photo on our Pinterest is our carrot cake
pop,” Callahan says.
Popping up at weddings
The pops are also big hits for weddings. Calla-

says. “Then you don’t have to have a cupcake
tree, which I think everyone’s seen before, but
