Un caso reciente del estudio
de la neurociencia llevado a cabo
por Nielsen en colaboración con
Univision Communications Inc. y
la división multicultural de Starcom
MediaVest Group, encontró que la
publicidad en español puede ofrecer
el mayor beneficio.
Al comparar la eficacia neurológica
de anuncios idénticos o casi
idénticos en ambos idiomas, la versión
en español funciona constantemente
al mismo o mejor nivel que su equivalente
en inglés. De los anuncios analizados,
ninguna publicidad en inglés
desempeño significativamente mejor
que el mismo anuncio en español.
Alternar entre idiomas requiere
mayor atención y enfoque a costa de
la conexión emocional y la memoria.
Cuando se cambia de un programa
hecho en un solo idioma a un anuncio
en otro idioma, el enfoque de los
espectadores se aleja del contenido y
hacia el procesar el cambio de idioma.
Debido a la difícil transición de los
consumidores entre los idiomas, el
estudio encontró que los mensajes
clave y la marca no se deben mostrar
dentro de los primeros 10 segundos
de un cambio de idioma, porque
durante esos momentos iniciales se
puede escapar la comprensión, lo que
resulta en la disminución de la eficacia
de la publicidad.
TENDENCIAS DE LA POBLACIÓN
Por primera vez en casi dos
décadas, los inmigrantes no representan
la mayoría de los trabajadores
hispanos en los Estados Unidos.
Mientras tanto, la mayor parte de las
ganancias en el empleo hechas por
los hispanos durante la recuperación
económica de la Gran Recesión de
2007-09 ha sido para los trabajadores
hispanos nacidos en Estados
Unidos, según un nuevo análisis de
los datos del gobierno hecho por
Pew Research Center.
En 2013, el 49.7% de los más de
22 millones de hispanos empleados
eran inmigrantes. Este porcentaje
fue mucho más bajo que el máximo
previo a la recesión de 56.1% en
2007. A pesar de que los hispanos
han ganado 2.8 millones de empleos
desde que la recesión terminó en
2009, sólo 453,000 de ellos fueron
para los inmigrantes. Por otra parte,
todo el aumento en el empleo para
los inmigrantes hispanos sucedió
en los dos primeros años de la recuperación,
de 2009 a 2011. Desde
entonces, de 2011 a 2013, el empleo
de los inmigrantes latinos no ha
cambiado.
