H. Morgan, a director of Krispy Kreme
since July 2000, was named chairman of
the board.
Poore Brothers, Inc., Goodyear, AZ, recently
appointed Richard M. Finkbeiner as senior
vice-president, c.f.o., secretary and treasurer.
In addition to his responsibilities for the
company's treasury, information technology,
accounting, taxes, legal and risk management
functions. As a certified public accountant,
Mr. Finkbeiner will have a leadership role
its strategic planning, corporate governance
and investor relations activities.
Jeff Snow was named Southeast regional sales manager
for Shick USA, Kansas City,
MO. Mr. Snow worked in
both sales and mechanical
engineering within the inSNOW
dustry for nearly 15 years.
Loren Urquhart was named vice-president
sales, for ADM Milling Co., Decatur, IL.
In his new position, Mr. Urquhart will assume the responsibilities of Mike Marsh,
who announced his intention to retire at
the end of February.
Mr. Urquhart began his career in the flour
industry in 1974 with Ogilvie Mills, which
was then owned by the John Labatt Brewing
Co. Since ADM acquired the Ogilvie Mills'
operations in 1992, Mr. Urquhart has held
various management positions in Canada
for ADM Milling, including vice-president,
sales, Canadian group operations manager;
and Canadian commercial manager. Mr.
Urquhart will relocate to Overland Park, KS.
The Henry Group, Greenville, TX, announced the addition of Peter Genau,
formerly of Phoenix Oven Technology and
Pulver-Genau, to its staff. Mr. Genau will be
part of the oven division and oversee the
design and manufacturing of ovens and
proofers as well as be involved with oven
upgrades and rebuild projects.
Also joining The Henry Group from
Phoenix Oven Technology and PulverGenau are Ron Gouviea and Michael
Jones. They will be involved with various

Ed Ritter was named engineering and
machine shop manager at Exact Packaging, Inc., New Freedom, PA. He is a senior
operations professional with hands-on
experience in manufacturing, engineering
and project management.
Orion Packaging Systems,
Inc., Collierville, TN, appointed John Darby as
Midwest regional manager.
He will assume responsibility for Orion's sales coverage
DARBY
in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa,
Wisconsin, Illinois, northeastern Missouri,
Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Main Street Ingredients, La Crosse, WI, announced the appointment of Chad Miller
to c.f.o. In this position, Mr. Miller will
explore growth opportunities and focus on
the company's core accounting, finance and
planning functions.
Chr. Hansen, Inc., Milwaukee, WI, announced appointment of David Carpenter
as president and c.e.o. for North America following the resignation of Donald
Coombs in January. Mr. Carpenter has been
with the company since 1999.
Rovema Packaging Machines,
Lawrenceville, GA, promoted
David Hart to regional sales
manager for the Southwest
territory. He had been working for the company's inside
HART
sales group. Stephanie Striplin and Nathale
Rothman were hired for the inside sales group.

A.M. Todd, Eugene, OR, recently made two
key senior-level appointments in its Botanical Therapeutics unit. Kyle J. Griffiths
has joined the company as vice-president,
global sales; Matthew Redd is the new director of marketing.
Mr. Griffiths spent the past nine years
growing and managing sales, marketing, and
distribution channels at HyClone Laboratories, a division of Fisher Scientific. He has a
B.S. in sociology from Utah State University.
Mr. Redd was most recently director of
business development at the Spendlove
Research Foundation, where he helped
engineer the turnaround of Envirol, Inc.,
an environmental test kit company. He has
earned both his B.S. and M.B.A in marketing from Utah State University.
Ricardo (Ric) Alvarez, Ph.D., president and
c.e.o. of Juanita's Foods, Wilmington, CA,
has been appointed to the National Food
Processors Association's board of directors.
Mr. Alvarez has extensive experience in the
food manufacturing business. He has a doctorate in food science and human nutrition
and an M.B.A. from University of Florida.

Mario Guiterrez was named account manager for the bakery team at Intralox, LLC,
New Orleans, LA.

Country Choice, Eden Prairie, MN, named
John Depaolis, vice-president of marketing. He most
recently worked for Small
Planet Foods, Sedro-Woolley, WA, where he was in
charge of marketing for the
DEPAOLIS
Cascadian Farm and Muir Glen brands.

Tom Bongiorno joined Univar USA, Kirkland, WA, as food technical specialist and
will support the company's food ingredients
business growth through new product and
application development.

on Feb. 7. He was associated with Oak State
Products for many years. Most recently, his
