Farm's Yogurt Drink
Korea-based global beverage marketer OKF Corp., is introducing shelfstable
sparkling Farm's Yogurt Drink made with skim milk powder and
boosted with postbiotics. The beverage comes in 500-milliliter plastic
bottles in blueberry, grape, green apple, peach, pineapple, plain and
strawberry flavors.
Iced coffee drinks
A number of fluid milk processors manufacture ready-to-drink
beverages, selling them as private label as well as under their own
brand. Turkey Hill Dairy, Conestoga, Pa., has long been a leader in this
space. Recent rollouts include new iced coffee offerings, including
cookies and cream, Dutch chocolate, mint chocolate chip and vanilla.
Shelf-stable dairy creamer
Byrne Dairy, Syracuse, NY, recently invested in aseptic dairy
processing technology. The company now offers quart containers of
shelf-stable dairy creamer in US Aldi stores, where Byrne has a longtime
co-packing relationship with the private-label retailer. Most stores
are retailing the containers chilled; however, they may be distributed,
merchandised and stored at ambient temperature until opened. Then
refrigeration is required.
Thai Iced Coffee
Java Trading, Costa Rica, invites Americans to " take a trip to Thailand "
with its new ready-to-drink Thai Iced Coffee. The shelf-stable dark
roast beverage is made with coffee extract, skim milk powder and
whole milk powder. It's sweetened with cane sugar and flavored with
hints of cardamon. There's also a sweetened black coffee variant.
Lactose-free drinkable yogurt
Chobani, Norwich, NY, is growing the Chobani Complete lactose-free
drinkable yogurt line with cookies and cream joining banana cream,
mixed berry vanilla, strawberry cream and vanilla. Chobani Complete
is a convenient, pre- and post-workout shake with all the necessary
functional benefits to keep the body fueled, including 20 grams
of complete protein, 3 grams of fiber, 0 grams of added sugar and
billions of probiotics.
Extra Thick Vanilla Cream
UK-based Tesco introduced Tesco Finest Sweet & Silky Extra Thick
Vanilla Cream with Luxardo Vanilla Liqueur to the UK market this past
holiday season. The perishable product comes in 250-milliliter cups
and is made with 74% double cream and 12% Jersey double cream.
It may be consumed as is, after stirring, or whipped into a topping.
A 2-tablespoon serving contains 130 calories, 12 grams of fat and 3.2
grams of sugar. There's also a version containing French brandy.
