On-Floor Innovation Sausage solutions Attendees at the 2011 PROCESS EXPO couldn’t help but notice the size and scope of the Reiser booth (No. 2602). Among the newer offerings on display at the expansive booth were the Vemag FSL210 Portioning, Linking and Cutting machine and the Vemag FSL211 Portioning and Linking device. Both machines provide accurate length portioning and linking of sausages in natural and collagen casings and the FSL210 features precise, integrated cutting capabilities to ensure centered and clean cuts consistently. Both are designed to process up to 800 portions per minute and provide solutions for sausage processors manufacturing various sizes and types of products. Also featured at the show was Vemag’s TM203 Link Cutter, designed to cut strings of linked sausage into individual portions. Centered, clean cuts are delivered by the system’s precision transport belts to the cutting unit. Also making its debut at PROCESS EXPO was the Ross IN50 Inline Tray Sealing Machine. Among the sealing equipment’s features are its ability to use 70 percent less gas than traditional machines and its ability to operate at up to 15 cycles per minute. CM Process Solutions (Booth No. 4231 and 5625) debuted its GBT300 400lb Buggy Mixer & Tumbler on the show floor at PROCESS EXPO. Nov. 1-4. Using a vacuum system, the new product allows companies to safely and efficiently mix, blend and marinate chicken, beef or pork inside a 400 lb. stainless steel buggy. Buggy mixer Weber (Booth No. 5231) featured its CCS 702 Bacon Slicer which feeds sliced product into Multivac’s Model R595 high-efficiency bacon packaging machine.
