Welcome to an invaluable IBIE 2022
IT GOES WITHOUT saying that it's been a tough three years since our
last show - one that ended just as the pandemic began. While
we've navigated changes over the past few years, coming together
again allows us to tackle some major challenges, from supply
chain and labor shortages to the disruption of one of our key sales
channels: events. As the first global gathering in three years, this
is, without a doubt, the most important baking event in the last
decade - or more.
It's time for quality interaction. Clearly, nothing replaces
face-to-face meetings with our peers and the ability to see,
touch and test the products and equipment we supply.
Personally, I'm excited to see what my fellow suppliers
are bringing to the table.
It's time for powerful innovation. Our industry
relies on advancements to overcome challenges.
And like suppliers, our bakers are facing very
similar challenges. For this reason, I expect we'll
see more automation and robotics on the show floor.
We'll also see new ingredient trends, sanitation resources
and so much more. For a quick look at what's
new, I encourage you to stop by the Innovation Showcase
at the Paradise Bridge between the West and North Hall,
Dennis Gunnell which is a curated collection of advancements never before seen

It's time for fresh inspiration. We've also launched two new
pavilions focused on growing market segments: The Cannabis
Central Pavilion, powered by Cannabis Products, where you can
connect with suppliers of products and services and learn about
unique business challenges and opportunities through education
sessions and expert-led demos, and the Sanitation Pavilion
where you can find solutions from trusted partners in one dedicated
area.
And it's all made possible by our indispensable volunteers.
Our committee consists of individuals from our sponsor organizations,
the American Bakers Association (ABA), the Bakery
Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) and the Retail
Bakers of America. They donate countless hours of their time
to ensure we are bringing you the best show yet with new show
features, competitions, demonstrations and the largest education
program to date. We'd like to thank each of you, as well as
the IBIE staff, mdg and SmithBucklin, those who support IBIE and
our sponsoring organizations. You are all integral to the Baking
Expo's success.
We hope you walk away with tangible value - the information,
