APPETIZING IDEAS FOR PREPARED FOODS

The Uncle Giuseppe’s bakery features handmade butter cookies and delicious Italian pastries made daily by bakers who use only the best ingredients. Traditional Italian bread is baked fresh daily in the Bronx and Brooklyn, and delivered fresh to Uncle Giuseppe’s bakery every morning. The cake selection includes rainbow cake, brownie cheesecake, the ever-popular Hershey cake, gourmet cupcakes, pudding cups and tiramisu. Shoppers can order a conventional size cake for birthday parties or a mini-cake for more intimate gatherings. Specialties include the Party Cannoli, an enormous shell stuffed with up to 36 mini cannolis. The Uncle Giuseppe’s delis are truly Italian masterpieces. The deli department carries everything from premium cold cuts, imported Italian salamis, proscuittos and dried sausages to a large selection of old fashioned Italian favorites like chicken cutlets (made with real Parmigiano cheese in the breadcrumbs), potato croquetes, broccoli rabe, and eggplant Parmigiano, with more than 70 dishes presented daily. Every dish is prepared by chefs using old-fashioned recipes and the finest ingredients. Deli specialties include lasagna, broccoli rabe, shrimp delight and even Cap’n Crunch Chicken Fingers for the kids. Other department features include a hot grilling station, an over-sized selection of homemade soups including vegetarian carrot and ginger or buffalo chicken style,

assorted pot pies, fresh made quiches, antipasto bar and a huge olive bar. From freshly prepared chicken, broccoli rabe and mozzarella sliders to a family-sized Sicilian pizza topped with breaded chicken cutlets, a fresh and delicious family meal is only one step away for shoppers. In addition to prepared foods, the deli features refrigerated grab n’ go pre-packaged versions of prepared dishes. For the pasta lover at heart, Uncle Giuseppe’s carries a full line of imported specialty, gluten-free and fresh pastas. Fresh pastas, made daily, include manicotti, linguine,

penne, whole wheat pasta and a large assortment of raviolis; from classic cheese, to lobster, butternut squash, and pumpkin. The store is widely known for its cheese raviolis. And to complement the pastas, fresh sauces are made daily by chefs. From the on-premise chefs cooking recipes handed down from generation to generation to cheese experts making fresh mozzarella everyday on a machine imported from Salerno, the goal of Uncle Giuseppe’s is to bring back the Italian markets of their customers’ childhood under one roof. What Uncle Giuseppe’s Shoppers Say
Here is a sampling of reviews from loyal Uncle Giuseppe’s customers: “I was very impressed when I walked through this store for the first time. I was expecting an Italian version of a Whole Foods, and instead, it’s closer to Fairway than Whole Foods. Not the kind of place you go to for your daily shopping, but somewhere you go when you want something special, or if you’re looking for prepared foods that don’t come vacuum packed from a warehouse.” “Meatballs are WONDERFUL, as is the sauce they come in (if you buy from the steam table).  Surprisingly, the chicken wings were very nice as well - large and meaty, moist, and not “blubbery” as they can sometimes get when you don’t eat them fresh from the oven.  We bought a few pounds cold to reheat on New Year’s Eve and they heated in the oven perfectly - not one left behind!” “Man, if I can give Uncle G’s 6 stars I would. EXCELLENT Customer Service.” “I’ve always been a fan of Uncle Giuseppe’s which really brings out the Italian & Sicilian in me.” “The new Port Jefferson Station location is a convenient stop on my way home from my mornings at work and is laid out quite well, similar to the other Uncle Giuseppe stores.” “They still have the best fresh mozzerella that I’ve had, served WARM with the guy behind the window making it/hand kneading it in front of you. They have an amazing selection of meats, prepared foods, seafood, produce and general foods....ooooo and the bakery. Yes.”
