chairman of board
ST. PAUL, MINN. - CHS Inc. has
re-elected five agricultural producers to the company's board of directors, including Michael
Toelle, a Browns Valley,
Minn., producer who
was named to a sixth
term as chairman.
CHS is governed
by a 17-member
board of directors
elected by the producers in 26 states who
own the company. Directors must
be full-time farmers and ranchers in
order to serve.
Re-elected to three-year terms were:

Mr. Toelle of Browns Valley. Mr.
Toelle was first elected to the board
in 1992 and has served more than
15 years as a director
and chairman for his
local
cooperative.
He represents CHS
on the Nationwide
Insurance
Sponsors
Committee, serves on
the 25X'25 Renewable
Fuels Steering Committee
and has been a director for the Agricultural Council of America. He
received a bachelor 's degree in industrial technology from Moorhead

H.B.A. seeks baking educators for award
TOPEKA, KAS. - Innovative educators who teach baking have an opportunity to win $1,000 and a trip to the
Home Baking Association's annual
meeting. Each year the H.B.A. has
recognized outstanding educators for
their creative programs for teaching
youth to bake.
Classroom educators and community youth organization program
leaders who teach baking are eligible
to enter. Students who have developed baking programs that teach
other youth to bake also are invited
to enter.
The H.B.A. annually provides national recognition for educators that

plinary baking education programs.
The 2007 Educator Award winners
were Peggy Trainor and Kate Mennenga, Janesville, Wis. Ms. Trainor
teaches daily living skills for the visually impaired, and Ms. Mennenga
is an occupational therapist at the
Wisconsin School for the Visually
Handicapped. They were recognized
for their "Muffins in Motion" entry,
which provided visually impaired
students "real life experiences"
through a Braille bakery in the classroom.

Mr. Bass has served more than two
decades as a director and officer for
his local cooperative and is vicechairman of the Wisconsin Federation of Cooperatives. He received

Dennis Carlson of Mandan, N.D.
Mr. Carlson is a director and past
chairman of his local cooperative
and active in a number of agricultural and cooperative organizations.
Randy Knecht of Houghton, S.D.
Mr. Knecht is president of his local
cooperative, a former director and
chairman of Northern Electric Cooperative, and director for Dakota
Value Capture Cooperative. He also
is active in the American Coalition
for Ethanol. He received a bachelor 's degree in agriculture from
South Dakota State University.
Steve Riegel of Ford, Kas. Mr. Riegel is chairman of the Dodge City
(Kas.) Cooperative Exchange board
of directors and majored in agriculture, business and animal science
at Fort Hays State University in
Kansas.
In addition to re-electing Mr.
Toelle as chair, the board selected
Mr. Bass as vice-chairman; James
Kile of St. John, Wash., as second
vice-chairman; Bruce Anderson
of Glenburn, N.D., as secretarytreasurer; and Robert Grabarski of
Arkdale, Wis., as assistant secretary-treasurer. Officer positions are
