Nigel Travis to succeed Jon Luther
as chief executive at Dunkin'
CANTON, MASS. - Nigel Travis on
Dec. 10 was named chief executive
officer of Dunkin' Brands, the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts and
Baskin-Robbins.
Less than a week earlier Mr. Travis
resigned, effective Dec. 30, as president
and c.e.o. of Papa John's International,
Inc. Papa John's said at the time Mr.
Travis was pursuing another unspecified opportunity. He will officially join
Dunkin' Brands on Jan. 6.
As head of Papa John's, a publicly-traded company, Mr. Travis was
responsible for more than 3,300 restaurants in the United States and 29

international markets. Systemwide
sales total $2.1 billion per year.
Mr. Travis, 58, will succeed Jon
Luther, 65, who will stay on as executive chairman. Dunkin' said
Mr. Luther "had been
working closely with
Dunkin' Brands' board
of directors since early
2008 to develop a succession plan and identify a new chief executive officer."

Gene Rasschaert and Mark Hingiss
join Global Risk Management Inc.
EDEN PRAIRIE, MINN. - Eugene
H. Rasschaert, a longtime commodity
executive, and Mark H. Hingiss, an
executive in the edible oils business,
have joined Global Risk Management
Corp., Eden Prairie. Both will be vicepresidents at G.R.M.
Mr. Rasschaert, who
at G.R.M. will consult with clients on
risk management and
other strategic issues,
retired earlier this year
as director of commodity analysis for General Rasschaert
Mills, Inc. He had been
with General Mills since 2001 and before that spent 28 years as an executive at The Pillsbury Co. He has held
a range of positions in commodity
analysis, purchasing, flour milling
and risk management.
Mr. Rasschaert has a bachelor's
degree in electrical engineering and
a master's in agricultural economics
from the University of Nebraska.
Chris Morley, executive vice-president and principal of G.R.M., said Mr.
Rasschaert's experience will help him in
interactions with senior executives looking to gain a better understanding of risk
management issues. G.R.M. activities
focus on agricultural commodity price
risk management, purchasing services,
financial risk assessment, and consulting
services. Its clients include packaged
food companies, the quick-service restaurant industry, government, processors, seed companies and growers.

have been longtime participants in the
annual Purchasing Seminar sponsored
by Milling & Baking News.
"We want to tap into Gene's experience and expertise gained over many
years in the industry," Mr. Morley
said. "He has one of the best market
minds out there. His work will relate
to risk management and strategy, primarily at the senior executive level.
We will focus his efforts on helping
senior executives with risk management, infrastructure development,
financial risk analysis and strategy
development.
"The primary focus of all that will
be margin preservation, which fits
well into our business model. The attention is toward managing business
risk associated with market dynamics.
Gene will have direct client interface
and responsibility."

CHS Inc., St. Paul, Minn., where he
spent 16 years and was vice-president

Before joining Papa John's, Mr.
Travis was with Blockbuster, Inc.
for the 10 years ended in 2004. During that time he was elevated to the
position of president and chief operating officer.
Earlier, Mr. Travis was with Burger
King, first as senior vice-president of
human resources and later as managing director for Europe, the Middle
East and Africa.

administration.
At G.R.M., Mr. Hingiss will head the VeracHingiss
ity Edible Oil Solutions
business. Veracity is an independent
third-party consultant between buyers
and sellers of fats and oils in the food
and renewable fuels industry.

O'Neill to top spot at Einstein Noah
LAKEWOOD, COLO. - Jeff O'Neill has been named chief executive officer and a member of the board of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group. He
succeeds Paul Murphy, who had been c.e.o., president and director since
October 2003.
A 20-year veteran of the food and beverage industry, Mr. O'Neill most
recently was with Priszm Income Fund in Toronto, where he held the titles
of chief operating officer, president and most recently, c.e.o. Priszm is the
master franchisee for KFC in Canada.
Prior to joining Priszm, Mr. O'Neill held senior positions with various
food and beverage companies, including as president of Pepsi Cola Canada. MBN
