Flowers Foods names senior v.p.
for Northeast region
THOMASVILLE, GA. - Richard
Holder, president of the Flowers Foods'
bakery in Jamestown, N.C., has been appointed as senior vice-president of the
newly created Northeast region for the
direct-store-delivery segment of Flowers Foods. The region includes bakeries
in Maine, Vermont and Pennsylvania.
The Northeast sales region includes all
of New England as well as Pennsylvania,
New York, New Jersey and Maryland.
"This new region covers the most
population-dense area of the United
States, where many of our top brands
are new to the market," said Bradley
K. Alexander, executive vice-president
and chief operating officer for Thomasville-based Flowers Foods. "Our
team members have been doing an
outstanding job breaking into these
new markets, but the time is right to
establish this region to take better
advantage of the great growth opportunities that exist. Richard has the
knowledge, experience and ability to

lead the Northeast region, and I know
he will do an outstanding job."
Mr. Holder's career at Flowers Foods
began in 1979 when he joined a bakery
in Thomasville as a route sales person. Since then he has served as sales

manager, regional director of sales,
vice-president of sales, executive vicepresident and bakery president. Mr.
Holder has been president of Flowers'
Jamestown bakery since 2012.
Michael K. McCall, president of
Flowers' subsidiary Lepage Bakeries
in Auburn, Maine, has been named the
new president of the Jamestown bakery. Peter Roy, a sales executive at LePage for more than 13 years, has been
named president of Lepage Bakeries.
Mr. McCall joined Flowers in 1983 as
a route salesperson in Daytona Beach,
Fla. He served in sales in Columbia,

in 2012. In Jamestown, he will oversee a bakery that produces and markets fresh bread, buns and snack cakes
under the Nature's Own, Cobblestone

Bunny and Tastykake brands in western North Carolina and parts of South
Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
"Mike is a 31-year Flowers veteran with strong sales, operational
and leadership abilities," said Keith
Wheeler, president of Flowers Bakeries. "During the two years he's been
in Maine, he has done an outstanding
job guiding Lepage Bakeries through
its integration with Flowers Foods
and overseeing the introduction of
Nature's Own and Tastykake into new
markets in the Northeast."
Mr. Roy began working for Lepage
Bakeries in high school and joined the
company full-time as a manufacturing
supervisor in 1992. He moved to sales
in 1994 and was named vice-president
of sales for Lepage Bakeries in 2000.
As president of Lepage Bakeries, he
will oversee sales and production at the
company's two bakeries in Lewiston
and a bakery in Brattleboro, Vt. Lepage
Bakeries markets fresh bread and buns
under the Nature's Own, Cobblestone
Bread Co., Wonder, Country Kitchen and
Barowsky's Organic brands. The company markets Tastykake snack cakes and
pastries in New England and New York.
"Peter has worked in the baking industry and with Lepage specifically
for more than 20 years," Mr. Wheeler
said. "He has been a part of the community his entire life, and his unique
experience in baking manufacturing,
marketing and sales make him ideal to

Bunge Ltd. names John
McGlade to board
of directors
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - John E.
McGlade has been appointed to the
board of directors, effective Aug. 5, for
Bunge Ltd. Mr. McGlade was chairman, president and chief executive officer of Air Products from 2008 to 2014.
He serves on the board of directors of
