WASHINGTON - With the Republicans taking control of the Senate,
the leadership and composition of
the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry will
change in favor of that party. At
the same time, there likely will be
many familiar faces on both sides
of the committee aisle during the
next session.
Currently there are 11 Democrats
and 9 Republicans on the Senate agriculture committee. The majority
on the committee in the next session of Congress will shift to the Republicans. Committee assignments
were yet to be determined.
