Rich Products promotes Ferranti
to chief executive officer
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Richard Ferranti has
been named chief executive officer at Rich
Products Corp., effective Jan. 1, 2020. He will
succeed longtime c.e.o. William G. Gisel,
who will become executive vice-chairman of
Rich Holdings, Inc., the holding company
for all Rich family business enterprises.
Mr. Ferranti steps into the c.e.o.
role after his promotion to company
president in April of last year. He
joined Rich's in 1986 and was named
president of the company's International Business Group in 1997, after
working in a series of sales and marketing roles. He also was president Ferranti
of the company's North America
Business Group, before being named
chief operating officer in 2012.
Mr. Ferranti received a bachelor's
degree in political science from
Canisius College in Buffalo and a
master's degree in business administration from the State University of Gisel

New York at Buffalo. He also is a graduate
of the Harvard Business School Advanced
Management Program.
Throughout their decades-long relationship, Mr. Ferranti and Mr. Gisel have
worked to grow the family-owned food
company's global footprint, which now
spans six continents and operates
in more than 100 countries.
"Richard and I have worked
closely together since the start of our
global expansion 30 years ago," said
Mr. Gisel, who joined Rich's in 1982
as the company's first general counsel. "Navigating the complex nature
of a global business - especially in a
diverse industry like food - is a formidable challenge. With his vast experience and exceptional leadership
skills, Richard is the ideal candidate
to assume this important role."
Succession planning is a key part
of Rich's long-term business strategy.

protein bar maker Bulletproof
SEATTLE - Laurence E. Bodner has
joined Bulletproof 360, Inc. as chief executive officer and a member of the company's board of directors. Bulletproof 360
produces food and beverage products for
active lifestyles, including Bulletproof
Coffee and collagen protein bars.
Mr. Bodner has nearly 30 years of

executive leadership experience in the
consumer packaged goods industry.
In his new role, he will be responsible
for leading business strategy and dayto-day operations while managing the
brand's expansion into retail and positioning the company for its next phase of
growth. He will work alongside founder

Company leaders said the c.e.o. succession
discussions started well before Mr. Gisel
was appointed to his role in 2006 and were
frequent throughout his tenure.

Mr. Ferranti and Mr. Gisel have jointly
designed a detailed transition plan that
they are implementing over the balance
of 2019.

transition that reinforces our current momentum and strategic focus," Mr. Gisel
commented.
After the Jan. 1 transition date, Rich's
said Mr. Gisel will focus on corporate
strategy, long-term growth and organizational excellence for the broad-based

Mr. Bodner most recently was chief financial officer for Sovos Brands, a portfolio
of food and beverage businesses. He serves
on the board of directors of Hostess Brands
and has served on the board of Hearthside Foods. Prior to his tenure with Sovos
Brands, he was executive vice-president,
c.f.o. and treasurer of Big Heart Pet Brands
(formerly Del Monte Foods) and previously held senior financial positions at the Walt
