Grain Craft promotes Frederick
to chief executive officer
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - Grain
Craft on Nov. 18 announced Peter
T. Frederick has been promoted to
president and chief executive officer,
effective immediately. As president
and CEO, Mr. Frederick is responsible for setting and directing the company's strategic and financial goals
while providing visionary leadership for growth.
Mr. Frederick has held the position of president since Grain Craft
was established in 2014. Grain Craft
was formed when Milner Milling
and Pendleton Flour Mills, already
a partnership, acquired Cereal Food
Processors, Inc. Mr. Frederick had
been president of Milner/Pendleton
since 2012.
" Pete has deep industry experience

and a proven track record of strong
leadership, " said Charles B. Stout,
chairman of Grain Craft. " He was instrumental in the formation of Grain
Craft and seamlessly led the merger
of the three companies. He recognizes
the challenges we must confront and
the strengths we already possess to
continue to make Grain
Craft a leader in the
flour milling industry. "
A 35-year veteran of
the flour milling industry, Mr. Frederick joined
Milner Milling and
Pendleton Flour Mills Frederick
in 2004 as vice president
of sales, responsible for the sales function across mills in Oregon, Idaho, Hawaii, Georgia and Alabama. With the

W. Jameson McFadden elected to
Flowers Foods board of directors
THOMASVILLE, GA. - W. Jameson
McFadden, president of Wellington
Shields & Co., has been elected to the
Flowers Foods, Inc. board of directors,
effective Jan. 4, 2021.
Mr. McFadden, who is 38, has been
with Wellington Shields since 2006
and has been president of the firm
since 2017. Wellington Shields is a
New York-based wealth management
and investment firm.
" We welcome Jameson as an independent director of the Flowers
board, " said George E. Deese, chairman of the board of Flowers Foods.

" His financial and marketing experience will provide valuable perspective to the board and our company. "
In addition to leading
Wellington Shields, Mr.
McFadden is chief executive officer of Capital
Management Associates,
a registered investment
adviser based in New
York. He also is head of McFadden
sales and distribution for
Blue Quail Wines, a family-owned winery in Mendocino County California.

Barry Callebaut names Asia Pacific
head as chief financial officer
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - Ben De
Schryver, currently president of Asia Pacific for the Barry Callebaut Group, has been
named chief financial officer, effective Jan.
1, 2021, by the company's board of directors. He will replace Remco Steenbergen,
who is leaving to become CFO of the Lufthansa Group, a European air carrier.
Barry Callebaut announced the executive appointment on Nov. 11, the same
day the Zurich-based cocoa processor
and chocolate manufacturer reported
sales volume declined by about 2% in the
fiscal year ended Aug. 31.

in 1999 and has held a variety of sales
and senior finance roles. He was named
president of Asia Pacific in September
2016 and became a member of Barry Callebaut's executive committee on Sept. 1,
2017. He received a bachelor's degree in
accounting from University College in
Ghent, Belgium.
Mr. Steenbergen was Barry Callebaut's
CFO for three years.

us having done the job he signed for and
having helped make our company much

Before joining Milner/Pendleton,
Mr. Frederick spent 18 years at Cargill,
beginning in 1986. Immediately prior
to going to Milner/Pendleton, he was
eastern regional sales manager for Horizon Milling, LLC, a joint venture between Cargill and CHS Inc.
Mr. Frederick is co-chair of the Grain
Foods Foundation and holds a seat on
the executive committee of the North
American Millers' Association. He has
held board positions with the Allied
Trades of the Baking Industry and was
co-chair for the Executive Leadership
Development Committee of the American Bakers Association.
Mr. Frederick received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa,

Mr. McFadden holds a bachelor's
degree in history from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and
a master of business administration
degree from New York University's
Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

The election of Mr. McFadden follows by three months the addition of
three other board members at Flowers - Edward J. Casey Jr., Thomas C.

heading our Asia Pacific over the last
years and comes with a very strong business and financial background. "
Barry Callebaut has yet to name a replacement for Mr. De Schryver as president of Asia Pacific.
Barry Callebaut's sales volume of
2,095,982 tonnes in the 2019-20 fiscal
year compared with 2,139,758 tonnes in
the 2018-19 fiscal year. Volume declined
14% in the third quarter, which marked
a peak in the COVID-19 pandemic, and
