New chief sustainability officer
among Cargill leadership shifts
MINNEAPOLIS - Cargill announced
several leadership changes, including two
additions to its executive team on March
11. The changes become effective April 1.
On the heels of Brian Sikes being promoted to chief operating officer, Jon Nash was named
to the executive team as his
successor, leading the global protein and salt enterprise. Mr. Nash, who joined
Cargill in 1998, has worked
as the North American pro- Nash
tein leader since 2019. He
previously worked in leadership roles in

the company's protein business in commercial, operations and finance roles.
Also joining the executive team is Pilar
Cruz, who has been named chief sustainability officer. Ms. Cruz, whose career with
the company started in 2002,
most recently worked in the
global aqua nutrition business. Previously, she worked
in leadership positions in
North America, Europe and
Latin America and led Cargill's strategy and develop- Cruz
ment, including mergers and
acquisitions and business development.

Longtime GE executive to Cargill
as new chief financial officer
MINNEAPOLIS - Jamie Miller has been
named chief financial officer at Cargill,
effective June 1. She will succeed David
Dines, who has held the CFO role
since Dec. 1, 2018. Mr. Dines will retire from Cargill on Sept. 2 after 29
years with the company.
Ms. Miller most recently was senior
vice president and CFO at GE from November 2017 until February 2020. She
joined GE in 2008, holding various lead- Miller
ership positions, including as president
and chief executive officer of GE Transportation.
She was also chief information officer and led
the digital technology function, and she held
operational responsibility for GE Capital.

Prior to joining GE, Ms. Miller was a senior vice president and controller at WellPoint, Inc. (now Anthem). Earlier, she was
a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

responsible and sustainable way, we
need innovative leaders like Jamie to
guide our growth and maintain our
strong balance sheet. "
Ms. Miller received a bachelor's degree in
accounting at Miami University in Oxford,

Cargill also announced that after heading its global business and supply chains,
Ruth Kimmelshue will
take over as leader of its
animal nutrition and health
business. Since joining the
company in 2015 as a member of the executive team,
Ms. Kimmelshue has been
involved in leading its sus- Kimmelshue
tainability campaigns and
was its first chief sustainability officer.
Julian Chase, who joined the executive team in 2018 and now
leads Cargill's transformation initiatives, will be
assuming the additional
duties of leading its business operations and supply
chains. His role continues
to include developing its Chase
continuous-improvement
culture, commercially and functionally.
The company also announced David
Webster will succeed Frank van Lierde,
leader of food ingredients and bioindustrial
business functions, who announced his retirement after 32 years with
Cargill. Mr. Webster, who has
been part of the executive
team since 2019, has worked
as a leader in the global edible oils business, but most
recently led the company's
animal nutrition and health Webster
business segment. Mr. Van
Lierde's retirement will be effective June 1.

Agspring names David Hammond VP
of strategic sales for Agforce

Jerry Cosner, former president
of American Ingredients, dies

LEAWOOD, KAN. - David J. Hammond has joined Agspring
as vice president of strategic sales for the company's Agforce
Transport Services subsidiary. In his new role he will oversee
Agforce's wine and spirits teams to provide logistics solutions.
Mr. Hammond has two decades of experience in
sales, logistics and supply chain management. Most
recently he was president of QPI/Protek Wine. Earlier, he was general manager and vice president of
sales at Groskopf Warehousing and Logistics. He
also has worked as a regional sales manager and Hammond
global account manager at REXAM International
and was president and shareholder of Synergy Glass & Packaging in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Agspring operates a large elevator and barge operation in
Louisiana and Arkansas; an extensive sustainable sourcing infrastructure in Idaho providing more than eight different types
of milling-quality wheat; supplying gluten-free ingredients; and
a third-party transportation services division. MBN

KANSAS CITY - Jerry L. Cosner, former president of
American Ingredients, died March 11. He was 84 years old.
Born in Kansas City, Mr. Cosner received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Georgia
Tech University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. After graduating, he went on to work as
an engineer, consultant, and later as president
of American Ingredients, a supplier and manufacturer of functional bakery ingredients, food
ingredients, functional chemicals, polymer ad- Cosner
ditives and specialty blending equipment.
He was a former director of the board of the Allied Trades
of the Baking Industry.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Jody
and Brenda (Robert) Ruben; a son, Brian; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests contributions to Jewish Family Services, Kansas City. MBN
