Wolf-tec, Inc., Kingston, N.Y., has
hired Ed Wood to serve as national sales
manager responsible for all sales related
activities throughout
North America. He
has worked in the food
processing
industry
for more than 15
years. Most recently,
Wood was managing

This move will allow
C.O.O. Peter Ludwig
to dedicate more time
to focus on national
accounts efforts, key
customer
relations
and marketing related
Lettgen
initiatives.
Wolfgang Lettgen has also joined the
company as North American product
manager for the newly acquired line of
Multitec sliced product buffering and
positioning solutions from Germany.
Lettgen brings with him a wealth of
industry experience gained through years
of working with food processors in both
Europe and the Americas to improve
their slicing and packaging operations.
Javier Jimenez has joined CAT, Inc.,
Russelville, Ark., as territorial salesman for Mexico and Latin America.
He previously worked in the poultry
industry, most recently serving in the
same capacity for Dapec. Jimenez will
represent the full line of equipment
from CAT and Mepsco injectors, brine
chilling systems and mixers.
Zip-Pak, Manteno, Ill., has acquired
London-based Supreme Plastics Ltd.'s
reclosables division, comprising its
resealable zipper and resealable bag
business, including the associated technology portfolios. Zip-Pak will also acquire Supreme Plastics' plant in Whitby,
England. "Zip-Pak and Supreme Plastics have complementary product profiles. A majority of Supreme's business
comes from narrower zipper profiles,
whereas most of Zip-Pak's business
is from wider, value-added zipper
profiles," said Jim Kohl, president of
Zip-Pak. "The additional technologies
expand the breadth of resealable solutions Zip-Pak provides."
Following the opening of a plant in
Winschoten, The Netherlands, in January 2004, the Whitby plant will further
expand Zip-Pak's presence in Europe.
