CFS in the
global spotlight
With the vast array of new-and-improved
equipment showcased by CFS at the
2010 IFFA, it was hardly surprising that the
steady flow of traffic at its booth included
visitors from some of the world's bestknown processors of deli meats.

CookStar evolves
Initially introduced in 1993, the "new
generation" 2010 debut of the CFS
CookStar made a splash at IFFA by
delivering flexibility and increased

faster cook times than its predecessor
without adding to its footprint or
compromising on capacity. One of the
secrets to the performance is the addition

of impingement technology, striking a
precise balance between horizontal airflow
and vertical impingement.

of the oven to roast and cook offers
processors unmatched flexibility. "This
oven makes yield the priority," he said
from the crowded CFS booth. "We are
now able to offer the best yields in this
product category," he said.

Fresh/frozen grinding

X-ray technology is one of the keys
to unlocking the re-launched CFS
MegaSlicer's new yield potential for
processors of sliced meat and poultry
products. With a history of delivering quality
slicing innovation since 2003, the bar has
been raised for precise on-weight portions
with CFS' latest enhancements to its line
of slicers. The optional CFS OptiScan
can be coupled with the MegaSlicer to
slice naturally shaped products thanks to
X-ray imaging and analysis that facilitates
slicing with minimal waste for processors

CFS PowerGrind

Continuous, high-capacity, quality grinding
of both fresh and frozen meat is the
result of the engineering behind the new
CFS PowerGrind 280. Compared to its
predecessor, the PowerGrind features
dual augers; an 80-percent larger in-feed
area; a 16-percent increase in pitch length;
and increased hopper volume to prevent
production stoppages when large frozen
blocks are fed to the grinder. Sanitary
design and ease of cleaning have also been
addressed with the PowerGrind's hinged
worm lining, accessibility to its interior and
welded stainless-steel design.
Up to 500 liters can be fed into the
machine per charge, facilitating a capacity
up to 25 tons per hour.
