Grill flavor technology
Summit Hill Flavors, a member of the Activ International Group, was issued a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office for its Grill Flavor process technology. This new technology is designed to capture the authentic taste and aroma of grilled meat and poultry. The resulting products will offer more authentic grilled fl avors currently not available in the market. Summit Hill has combined more than 20 years of meat, poultry and seafood flavor technology and the specialized technology of heat processing vegetable oils and animal fats to create the new Chef’s Grill Flavor product line. The new products will be marketed under the company’s Chef’s Grill brand and will add value when used in meat, poultry and other products. Washdown checkweigher
OCS Checkweighers introduces its full range of Industrial PC-controlled checkweighers. From basic checkweighing with EC-ESSENTIAL (up to 150 pieces per minute) to high-end checkweighing with HC-AVANTGARDE (up to 640 pieces/minute), OCS provides solutions for most all checkweighing needs. New this year is the HC-MEDIUM for mid-range applications for speeds of up to 250 pieces per minute. It is operated by an industrial PC and is characterized by its 10.4 inch touch display. It features the same control concept of the high-end checkweigher HC-A making cross training between various controllers a thing of the past. Absorbent tray pads
International Tray Pads & Packaging Inc. announced a new absorbent technology using a proprietary laminated structure that significantly reduces material weight and content. The result is a lighter, thinner pad with highly desirable characteristics that significantly reduces the CO2 footprint and the amount of material ultimately discarded in landfi lls. International Tray Pads will retain and hold moisture under pressure unlike traditional fluff pulp/all paper pads. This technology works very well in grocery tray pad sizes from 25 to 75 grams of absorbency and is more beneficial in the higher absorbent tray pads used by meat and poultry processors.
