Names in the News Intelligrated, a leading North Americanowned automated material handling solutions provider, announces the appointment of Tom Sullivan to the position of national sales manager for the company’s Real Time Solutions order fulfi llment systems product line. Sullivan is responsible for expanding customer Sullivan GEA Convenience-Food Technologies, part of the Düsseldorfbased GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, has appointed new board members, effective Feb. 1. Dirk Hejnal has been appointed the new segment president of GEA ConveHejnal operations and for communicating the value of Real Time Solutions products to potential distribution and fulfillment clients across the nation. Intelligrated also announced the appointment of Howard Hammer to the position of sales manager, Intelligrated Southern Operations based in Alpharetta, Ga. Multivac Inc., a leading global supplier nience-Food Technologies. GEA Convenience-Food Technologies has also appointed three other new board members – Dr. Hans-Jörg Harth has joined the board as chief financial officer, Dr. Marco Gandini will be chief operations officer and Michael Kämpfert has been appointed vice president of human Hammer of packaging solutions for perishable food Harth resources and legal affairs. Exopack has announced it has named Christian Ragot as chief executive officer and appointed Miles McHugh to the position of chief financial officer. Ragot assumed the CEO position Feb. 13. McHugh replaces Dave Ziegler, who assumed the responsibilities of interim chief fi nancial officer in late November 2011. Ragot most recently served as president and CEO of Novariant Inc., a technology-based company. McHugh previously served as executive vice president and chief fi nancial officer for products, announced that Ty Threedy has joined the company as a regional sales manager within its food division. Threedy will serve customers in a sales territory covering the northern sections of California and Nevada. He will report to Gregg Poffenbarger, sales manager, Western division, Multivac Inc., and will work out of his home in Livermore, Calif. Gandini Urschel Laboratories Inc. USA continues to expand globally including the opening of a new subsidiary office in Italy, relocation of the direct Singapore office to a larger location, opening of its first Latin American office and the signing of a new sales representative in Chile. Urschel International Limited Italy officially opened for business Dec. 1, 2011. This is the tenth Urschel International branch to open in Europe. The fi rst direct Latin American Urschel office, Urschel Latinoamérica SRL, opened in Rosario, Argentina, in January 2011. Also in Latin America, Urschel Laboratories Inc. has signed Inter Chile as its official sales representative in Chile. Food Safety Net Services (FSNS) welcomes Jane Binzak as vice president of human resources. Binzak brings more than 12 years of senior human resources leadership experience combined with more than 19 years of legal experience. Before joining FSNS, she held similar senior leadership positions in the foodservice industry with Steak ‘n Shake and Buffets Inc., both having more than 20,000 employees. Kämpfert R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company. The National Turkey Federation (NTF) honored Vance Larson, S&K Turkeys, who served as NTF chairman in 1986, with the NTF Lifetime Achievement Award at the NTF Annual Convention in February. Larson received the award for being a leader and innovator in the turkey industry. Since 1946 when NTF initiated the Lifetime Achievement Award 67 recipients have been received the honor.  In other news, NTF President Joel Brandenberger announced the promotion of Leslee Oden to legislative affairs manager.
