R I C H A R DS O N was joined by other company
executives as well as Indiana government leaders
at the company's ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept.
22, dedicating the new 418,000-sq.-ft. SugarCreek
facility in Cambridge City, Indiana. The new
facility features the largest sous vide line in North
America and will feature three distinct highvolume cooking halls. SugarCreek expects to
employ approximately 500 people at the plant.

CLAYT O N will be joining JBT as its executive vice
president, Human Resources effective Sept. 28 in
connection with the planned retirement of M A R K K .
MONTAG U E , JBT's current executive vice president,

through early 2017 for the transition.

for Marel's line of skinners.
Taunton, Massachusetts-based H AR PAK -ULMA
appointed MARTIN MER K ER as regional sales manager
for Western Canada. Merker will be based in Ontario
and his territory will consist of the provinces of Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
TODD WILS ON was appointed general manager for
Siloam Springs, Arkansas-based C OB B -VANTR ES S INC.
for North America. Wilson comes to Cobb-Vantress from
TYS ON F OODS INC . where he was senior director of
continuous improvement.
S MITH F IELD F OODS INC . , Smithfield, Virginia,
announced that S TEWART LEETH , vice president of
regulatory affairs and chief sustainability officer, has been
named as a member of the North Carolina Agricultural &
Technical State University's Board of Visitors.
NIC OLE GLENN joined Bridgewater, New Jersey-based
APPLEGATE FAR MS as vice president of marketing
starting Oct. 11. Applegate is a subsidiary of H OR MEL

hiring of DAV ID H EER as the senior commercial director
for ORBIS Europe. Heer will be responsible for leading the
ORBIS reusable packaging expansion in Europe.
