Marel announces
the launch of the
fourth generation
in its line of successful sausage linkers. The new FrankA-Matic Linker provides more consistent performance
with increased production and throughput for high-speed
cellulose and collagen casing. These new linkers are the
successors to Marel's line of Townsend NL SmartLinkers.
Two versions are available, LK 0440 and LK 0450, based on
the size of casings used in the production processes. The
new Frank-A-Matic Linker has improved product weight
control; a lower cost to operate; and is easier to operate,
maintain and sanitize compared to its predecessor.

Larson Electronics' explosion-proof portable analog
observation camera is remotely mounted allowing
operators to view live feed from tanks, reactors and
vessels from a centralized control room. The EXPCMRALG-1080P-SGM-1227 is designed to facilitate inspections
and monitoring in combustive environments. The 3.5-watt
device produces images with 1080p resolution. A 3.6mm,
90-degree wide-area fixed lens allows comprehensive
observation in a single frame. In
infrared mode, the camera captures
images in low-light conditions,
illuminating targets up to 50 feet away.

Ossid introduces the TS32. This new tray-sealing
machine is designed
for growing markets
requiring a robust, affordable solution for beef, chicken,
pork and seafood tray sealing. The TS-32 offers protein
packers the advantages of four different modes of operation
- ambient, MAP without vacuum, MAP with vacuum, and
vacuum skin pack. It is also printed film capable. Customers
have the option of an inside cut for a premium package
finish. The TS-32 sealer operates at the mid-market range of
12 to 14 cycles per minute. The TS-32 is easy to operate and
fast to changeover - less than 30 minutes.

The Meyn slaughtering line ensures a high- quality and
clean end-product. It minimizes energy use, maximizes
automation and keeps animal welfare at the core of
each process. The Meyn Jetstream scalder is designed to
achieve top quality defeathered products with the highest
possible yields. It lowers energy use, eliminates wasted
water and reduces maintenance activities and costs. The
Jetstream scalder uses a unique water flow system. It
pulls carcasses down and
forward with the direction
of the line. The Jetstream
scalder does not use
air and prevents the
carcasses from floating.

FOREIGN MATERIAL DETECTION SYSTEMS

Busch Vacuum Pumps and Systems has now launched
an entirely new series of liquid ring vacuum pumps. The
new Dolphin LM/LT vacuum pumps have been completely
redesigned based on proven liquid ring vacuum technology.
With these new vacuum pumps, Busch has been able
to optimize an existing product that has become an
established part of many industrial processes, resulting in
the development of extremely powerful, yet energy-efficient
vacuum pumps. Dolphin LM models are single-stage vacuum
pumps for the rough vacuum range from atmospheric
pressure to 100 Torr ultimate pressure. Dolphin LT models
are available in twostage versions and
cover the vacuum range
from atmospheric
pressure to 25 Torr.

ProSpection's Foreign Material Detection and Removal
Systems separate and inspect the top and bottom of the
product for foreign material. Once found, foreign material
is automatically rejected. The robust, simple to use
systems are designed and built in the USA and are cost
effective to implement and maintain with 24/7 Remote
Support. The system
integrates plant databases
with statistical reporting. It
also identifies and removes
low density foreign
material like soft and hard
plastic, paper, cardboard,
wood, gloves, hairnets,
cloth and ink stamps. The system can also separate and
inspect meat and trim for beef, pork and poultry.
