Cool and Dehumidify Conveying Air
Xchanger has introduced its C Series heat exchanger with improved energy
savings potential. The C Series model replaces an older shell-and-tube design
with higher operating costs due to a 2.4 PSI pressure drop. With the same
capabilities, the new C Series pressure drop is only 0.1 PSI. The lower pressure
drop will save 50 HP, equal to annual energy savings of approximately
$50,000. Features include a metal filter and washable cooling core, and a
downstream aluminum mist eliminator, which is removable and washable.

Automated Batch Retort Loading/Unloading
Allpax, a product brand of ProMach, has extended its automated batch retort
capabilities to include a new high-speed sweep-style loading/unloading system
for can handling, offering throughputs of up to 2,000 units per minute per loader
and unloader cell. Robotic sweep-type loaders can benefit operations looking
for greater flexibility in batch retort automation. Robots can reduce stress
on the superstructure of the loading system for longer service life, and can
perform automatic changeover between can sizes, saving time and labor.
