Nestlé Purina PetCare

$99 million investment builds on a previous $160 million
investment in 2020 and a $200 million investment
made in 2013, all to expand the company's wet pet food
production capacity. These expansions represent a total
investment of roughly $333 million by Purina.

In June, the company announced another investment
- roughly $144 million USD - in a new wet pet food
facility in Thailand that will serve the budding market
there and in surrounding international markets. In
September, Purina announced its third operational inLocal
support will aid Royal Canin in the expansion of
an existing pet food production facility in South Dakota.
The Governor's Office of Economic Development
of South Dakota awarded the company with more
than $3.9 million through a Reinvestment Payment
Program grant in January. Royal Canin, a subsidiary of
Mars Petcare, has pledged $185 million for the project,
which will help the company meet rising demand for its
solution-based pet foods.
