Justin Kanthak, CCS, CRC
Mr. Kanthak is account director of Griffith Foods
Inc., Alsip, Ill. He is an 11-year member of the RCA.
His background blends both culinary arts and food
sciences from the Culinary Institute of America and
Iowa State University. Mr. Kanthak spent 10 years
working in restaurants and has grown through
multiple positions across the country as a food
scientist, corporate chef, culinary manager and
national account director.

Immediate Past President
Catherine Proper, CEC
Ms. Proper is the senior director of product development,
quality assurance and regulatory compliance for Supervalu,
Eden Prairie, Minn. Her product development career has
featured a combination of manufacturing and retail private
label experience, with degrees in culinary arts and food
science and nutrition, and an MBA from the University of
Minnesota. She has been an active member of RCA since
she was a student, serving on a variety of committees in
addition to serving two phases on the board of directors.
