RCA president recognized four members whose contributions to the association
or industry have made a significant impact. These members demonstrate the
highest level of commitment and excellence to the organization and the advancement of Culinology:
* Dr. Michael Cheng, Interim Dean, Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism
Management, Florida International University
* Dr. Aubrey Coffee, Senior Lecturer & Sensory Coordinator, Clemson University
* Michael Morrison, Culinary Sales Manager, Ungerer and Company
* Sosland Publishing Company, publisher of Culinology magazine

This year the Culinology Expo featured more than
140 exhibitors with 13 exhibitors who submitted their
latest product for consideration in the Culinology
Expo Product Award. Attendees cast their votes to
identify their favorite new product at the expo. The
product with the most votes wins the Culinology
Expo Product Award.
Black Boar Truffle received the 2018 Culinology
Expo Award for their product Beau Truffe, a black
truffle savory seasoning.

Culinology Cocktail Competition
For the second year in a
row, attendees mingled and
celebrated a successful
conference at the late night
reception, After Dark. During
the reception culinologists went
head-to-head in the second
annual Culinology Cocktail
Competition to earn the title of
'Star of the Bar.' The winner
of the competition was Kami
Smith, director of culinary
showcasing, Pecan Deluxe
Candy Co. for her Evil Orchard
Cocktail, which utilized Flavor
Dynamics' Peach Flavor.
