To most people, Mario Valdovino is known as "The
Chef," a title he's earned over his decade-long career at Tyson Foods. As the company's corporate
executive chef and senior director of culinary innovations, Mr. Valdovino is responsible for creating
some of Tyson's tastiest cuisine. What is the secret
ingredient to his success? He understands that being able to take regular ingredients and transform
them in something amazing is a continuous journey
- and something he takes very seriously.

Every year, the RCA president selects four members whose
contributions to the association or industry have made a
significant impact. Congratulations to the following individuals
and companies who have demonstrated the highest level of
commitment and excellence to the organization and the
advancement of Culinology.

Mark Crowell has achieved a number of accomplishments over his 20 years of service
to RCA. To name a few, he has served on
the board of directors, provided scholarships
to promising students, developed the RCA
Internship Program and provided the founding
grant for the Higher Education Summit. To this
day, he continues to support and believe in
RCA's mission - and counts down the days
to the next RCA Conference.
