People love their burgers. Even at a time when
plant-based burgers are getting some buzz,
traditional meat-based burgers are as much a
center of the diet as they are center of the plate.
Worldwide demand for ground
beef remains strong: ground
beef dominates the global
market in terms of beef revenue,
according to a report in a recent
edition of Marketwatch.com.
Burgers continue to be a favorite
way to enjoy ground beef,
with research from Technomic
showing that 56 percent of
consumers in the U.S. and nearly
half of consumers in Canada
reporting that they eat burgers
at least once a week. In a recent
consumer trend report on
burgers, Technomic also found
that although other factors go
into the decision to eat burgers,
taste is the main driver: 57
percent of American consumers
cited a craving as the reason
they purchased burgers.
