trends in the grocery fresh perimeter?

First, the use of tamper-evident packaging.
As more fresh products
are packaged off-site
and brought into stores,
ensuring that the food
has been protected
in transit is critical.
Second, the use of more
recycled materials in
packaging, especially plastic packaging.
Consumers play a role
by recycling, but packaging manufacturers
play a role by helping to
close the loop and use
more recycled materials
in the packaging they
produce.

Compartmentalized
snack packaging. I'm
seeing it everywhere!
Snack craving healthy
items from breakfast to
dinner can be found in
all categories along the
perimeter of the grocery store. What a great
idea for cross merchandising too! I've also
noticed more packaging with visibility to the
products. The "eyes
decided" and the clear
compartmentalized
packaging provides
shoppers with a sneak
peek of the delight
inside! YUM.

of recycled matter or
reduce our overall use
of packaging required.
