NAXPO, the world's largest, most comprehensive tradeshow devoted exclusively to
the international snack food industry, will
kick off with a "Welcome to Houston" opening
party at the Hilton Americas-Houston on Saturday, March 19. This night guarantees you'll know
you are in Texas! The tradeshow floor will open
Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and will host more than
160 exhibitors displaying diverse products and
services specific to the snack food industry. Of
these exhibitors, 44 are first-timers bringing new
products to the floor.
Networking is not limited to the show floor
hours. Exhibitors now receive two full-package
registrations with the purchase of a 10' x10' booth.
This change will allow manufacturers and suppliers to continue doing business and find value
throughout the SNAXPO schedule.
Additionally, this year's education lineup promises to be both intriguing and informative. At the
general sessions, attendees will hear from speakers Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC's Morning
Joe; Jim Donald, former CEO of Starbucks, Haggen
Food and Pharmacy, Extended Stay Hotels, and
two East Coast supermarket chains; and Jared
Koerten, senior analyst at Euromonitor.
The education does not stop there. The tradeshow floor sessions will include a food law and
regulation update, a review of current legislation

affecting the snack industry, a flavor forecast by
McCormick and a discussion on the "Evolving
Snack Consumer."
Also on the show floor will be the Latin American
education track. These sessions will be conducted
entirely in Spanish. The track will cover economic
freedom and competition in Latin America and
an economic outlook for the region. The speaker
for both will be Juan Carlos Hidalgo from the Cato
Institute.
Finally, SNAXPO will end with a "blast from the
past" for the closing event. This reception and dinner will be held at the Hilton Americas-Houston.
With all the networking and education opportunities SNAXPO 2016 has to offer, attendees
will want to stay close. The headquarter hotel
for the event is the Hilton Americas-Houston,
which is directly connected to the convention
center via two covered sky bridges and conveniently located downtown. SFA has a room block
reserved at the discounted rate of $229/night. To
make a reservation, please call (713) 739-8000 or
visit www.snaxpo.com. Expect the block to fill up
quickly.
This four-day event is one snack food industry
executives will not want to miss; join industry colleagues and register now for SNAXPO 2016.
