SNAXPO 2017 sees another successful year.

NAXPO 2017 brought together 1,000 attendees
- including 127 international attendees, 146 exhibitors and 37 first-time exhibitors - for three
days of networking and learning. Lining the exhibit hall
were the world's leading suppliers of packaging equipment, seasonings, ingredients, frying and baking equipment, distribution, supply chain solutions and more.
"By attending this event, we were able to see technologies that we otherwise would not have known
existed, so it is very valuable for our organization," said
Terry McDaniel, president and CEO, Inventure Foods
said of the exhibit hall.
SNAXPO's networking opportunities on and off the
tradeshow floor provided added value for snack companies from around the world.
"What's important is not only the hours on the tradeshow floor but also the receptions and networking opportunities that SNAXPO provides away from the exhibit
hall," said Mark Pfeiffer, sales director, Colormasters, LLC.
William Cung of PT Sekar Laut, Tbk, based in East
Java, Indonesia, is a new member of SNAC International
and attended SNAXPO for the first time. "It was perfect;
the board members were very welcoming to all the firsttimers," Mr. Cung said. "I made a lot of great contacts - I
just wish I had more time to meet everyone."

FLAVOR PAVILLION SUCCESS
At the first-ever Flavor of the Year competition,
SNAXPO attendees gathered in the Flavor Pavilion to
taste test and vote on the latest flavors and seasonings from SNAXPO exhibitors.
In a consumer market demanding new and bold
elements, the Flavor Pavilion participants did not
disappoint. New flavor varieties included Gochujang,
Cucumber Onion Salad with Dill, Scorpion Pepper
and Cheddar, and Guacamole Hatch Chile.
The Flavor of the Year Award ended in a tie for
first place between Maple Cinnamon Churro from
LifeSpice Ingredients and Black Pepper Kielbasa from
Savor Seasonings, LLC.

EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS
SNAXPO's educational sessions centered around snack
industry trends with presentations from Euromonitor
International and IRI.
Jared Koerten, senior analyst, Euromonitor, highlighted how technology will play a key role in driving
future growth in alternative channels such as ecommerce and how savory snack sales will post higher
growth rates abroad. Sally Lyons Wyatt, IRI, explored
emerging snack trends and discussed potential growth
